Today we’re going to have a look at a ChatGPT browser extension that is fast becoming one of my favorites.

This tool literally puts your browser on steroids with ChatGPT & automation.

It has a powerful built-in prompts library, plus it can monitor or extract data from any web page.

Let’s get started!

Install HARPA Chrome Extension

First, head over to harpa.ai & install the free HARPA AI Chrome Extension.

Click on the “Get AI Agent” button, which will take you to the Chrome web store where you can add the extension to Chrome.

It works on Google Chrome or one of the Chromium-based browsers like Edge, Opera, or Brave.

Navigate to any website and open HARPA by clicking its icon in the top right corner or pressing Alt+A (on Windows) and Control+A (on Mac).

Once the widget is open, you can send it a command. For example, if you type “/summary” the first time you send a command, it will pop up a login window.

Simply connect to ChatGPT in Chrome, this is perfectly safe and secure.

Once that’s done, you can close the pop-up window, and HARPA AI will continue with the instruction that you gave.

Page-Aware Commands

HARPA AI prompts are page-aware, which means that it collects all the content of a web page before sending it to ChatGPT.

This ensures that the information received by ChatGPT is accurate and organized, leading to more effective results.

One of the most useful features of HARPA AI is its ChatGPT-powered Composer or Writer, which helps you craft tweets, LinkedIn messages, articles, emails, and replies on any website.

You can also create your own custom prompts using the PAGE command.

The {{page}} parameter allows you to extract text content from a web page and send it to ChatGPT.

Custom Prompts & Token Parameters

HARPA AI provides a lot of flexibility in creating custom prompts. You can create your own custom prompts using their custom token parameters.

To create a custom prompt, you can type forward slash (/) in the chat window to bring up the command window and click on the “Create command” button.

From there, you can add custom parameters defined by tokens like {{p1}}, {{p2}}, {{p3}}, {{p4}} – these parameters let you customize your command every time it is run.

Once you’ve saved your custom prompt, it will show up under the user section in the menu at the top.

You can also use other pre-defined token parameters like {{language}} to instruct ChatGPT to reply in a given language.

{{page.url}} to get the page URL, {{page.domain}} to get the domain and {{page.desc}} to get the page description.

Below is the custom prompt I show in the YouTube video:

With custom prompts and token parameters, HARPA AI provides a lot of flexibility, and it’s definitely worth exploring to improve your workflow and productivity.

Scrape & Extract Web Page Data

HARPA AI allows you to scrape and extract data from any web page.

With the /extract command, you can extract contacts, data, or SEO keywords from any web page or article.

As an example, we can scrape products from an Amazon page.

By specifying the number of items to extract, and the formatting of the output, you can get a table of top products, along with their ratings and reviews.

See an example prompt below:

You can then copy this table to your clipboard and paste it into a Google Sheet to work with the data as you see fit, such as sorting by price or rating.

The TableConvert tool allows you to convert Markdown into Excel/Sheets format:

HARPA AI’s ability to extract data from any web page makes it a powerful tool for data analysis and research.

Summarize Long YouTube Videos

HARPA AI’s YouTube summary command can help save time by summarizing long YouTube videos.

It can break down the video transcript into chunks and provide a summary for each section.

This can be a useful tool for those who want to quickly get the gist of a lengthy video without having to watch it in its entirety.

The process is automated, making it much more efficient than manually splitting the transcript into chunks and summarizing each chunk separately.

Summarize PDF

To summarize a PDF, you can follow these steps:

  1. Install HARPA AI (chrome extension)
  2. Open this PDF viewer: https://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/web/viewer.html
  3. Click “Open file” and pick your document
  4. Click the HARPA #AI icon, or press Alt+A (on Windows) or Control+A (on Mac).
  5. Type command: /summary

These steps will allow you to access the PDF on the page and summarize all of its data using HARPA AI.

It’s a quick and easy way to get an overview of a lengthy PDF document without having to read through all of it.

Track Web Page & Notify Changes

HARPA AI can be used to track web pages and notify you of any changes made to those pages, which can be useful for tracking specific items on shopping sites, detecting price drops or back in stock alerts.

To use this feature, you need to open the HARPA pop-up and switch to the monitor tab.

Select the data you want to monitor, such as the price of an item, and customize the schedule, trigger, and notification options.

You can choose to receive browser notifications, integrate with third-party services, play a sound, or receive emails.

Alternatively, you can monitor specific elements on a page, such as a message that says “temporarily out of stock,” and be notified when it is removed.

The dashboard allows you to manage and edit your tasks, clear them, or run them once.

With this feature, you can save time and stay updated on changes to web pages you’re interested in.

Make/Integromat Integration

To connect HARPA.ai with over 1000 different apps, you can set up a Make.com integration.

First, head over to the HARPA dashboard and click the Cog icon to edit the task.

Then, go to the Actions and Integrations tab and install the Make app called the “HARPA AI Web Monitor”.

Next, log into your Make.com account and create a new scenario with the HARPA.ai web monitor trigger.

Copy the Webhook URL from the the “HARPA AI Web Monitor” to your clipboard and paste it back into the task in the HARPA.ai dashboard.

You can then add Google Sheets modules to add/update rows to a spreadsheet and route the information to the correct cells.

With this integration, you can update a Google sheet with data from the HARPA.ai web monitor, including product names, prices, and updates on changes to price and time.
